About the role
We are looking for a Registered Conveyancer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in a full-service South Australian law firm. As a Conveyancer with Mellor Olsson, you will be passionate about your work and have a strong commitment to providing the highest quality of client service. You will enjoy working collaboratively with our Conveyancing and Property teams.
Your key responsibilities depending on your experience will include the following:
- Managing conveyancing files from beginning to end with minimal supervision
- Overseeing all aspects of conveyancing matters, including residential, agricultural and commercial transactions
- Providing advice and guidance to a broad range of clients
- Preparing and submitting Land Titles Office forms, including land divisions
- Organising settlements with all parties and conducting settlements electronically via PEXA (or by paper as necessary)
- Acting on transfers, refinance matters, discharge of mortgages, etc.
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing referrers.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years experience in conveyancing in a law firm and a solid understanding of relevant legislation
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally experience with Lexis Affinity and PEXA
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
- A professional approach when interacting with clients and team members
- A high attention to detail and great organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
