About the session

Failing energy markets, accelerating climate change, rising operating costs, dwindling budgets, the confluence of current events may seem dire, but the opportunity for Councils to play a leading role in the transition to a low carbon economy is very present.

For those that tackle the challenges come the rewards of engaged and safer communities, increased bottom lines and more resilient assets that continue to facilitate important social cohesion and activities for our communities - however, where do you start, what are your options and what is the best way forward?

The Mellor Olsson Local Government team invite you to our second LG Forum for 2024 with guest speaker and Stantec Sustainability Project Engineer and Group Lead, Nathan Lawry. This session will give you and industry peers the opportunity to explore the current environment and the imperative for net zero and what challenges and opportunities that may bring.

This LG Forum is relevant to all areas of Local Government including, property, planning, development, procurement, governance, construction, assets and infrastructure. We encourage members of teams across your Council to come and be involved in a discussion that is relevant to us all.
