Mellor Olsson are pleased to announce four more women have joined the partnership.

Senior Associates, Janine Carroll, Victoria Gilliland, Melanie Meaney and Sarah Vinall, have all been promoted to Partner, effective from 1 October.

The promotions mark the largest round of internal promotions for the firm since 2008. It is also the first all-female round in the firm’s history.

Commenting on the news, Mellor Olsson Managing Partner, Greg Arthur, said, “Each of these women have been recognised internally as future leaders for some time. We’re delighted to announce these new appointments and congratulate them on this achievement.

Janine, Victoria, Melanie and Sarah are all widely respected by their clients and important contributors to our team. We look forward to having them join the Partnership and contributing to the continued success and leadership of the firm.”

Janine joined Mellor Olsson in 2016 from another South Australian law firm. She has over 15 years’ experience and specialises in property, infrastructure and commercial law.

Victoria commenced her legal career in 2013 before joining Mellor Olsson in 2015. Her practice is predominantly in commercial and civil litigation and she has particular expertise in estate, trust and farming disputes.

Melanie has been with Mellor Olsson since 2012. She represents clients in a wide range of areas, including disputes, insolvency, planning and property development and Local Government issues.

Sarah started at Mellor Olsson in 2006. Her area of specialisation is injury claims where she represents clients who have been injured as a result of medical negligence, motor vehicle accidents or public liability.

The promotions take the number of Partners at Mellor Olsson to 17 and the female partnership to 41%.
