Troy joined Mellor Olsson in 2022. He commenced his legal practice in a regional firm and has experience in a variety of family law matters ranging from children’s disputes as well as complex property settlements.
He values genuine attempts to resolve matters by negotiation so his clients can achieve successful outcomes. Understanding that his clients are often going through a highly emotional and stressful time, Troy provides clear and considered advice that draws from his broad legal practice knowledge base in succession and criminal law to ensure his clients are armed with realistic advice to move forward with their lives. He has a particular interest in alternatives to litigation, such as mediation and informal conferencing to try and resolve matters as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
As a litigator, Troy is knowledgeable in complex and niche areas of family law and is experienced in all aspects of family law litigation. Troy is admitted to the Supreme Courts of South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) as well as the High Court of Australia.
In his spare time, Troy is a representative on the Pinnacle Foundation committee in South Australia and goes on adventures with his dogs.
