About the role

We are looking for a Graduate or Law Clerk to join our Personal Injury Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a closeknit team under the guidance of a reputable and knowledgeable Partner. You will be exposed to a variety of matters including motor vehicle accident and complex medical negligence claims. As part of our team, you will be advocating for people who have suffered life changing injuries and assisting them to navigate the claims process.

To be considered for this role, you will;

  • Be admitted to practise in Australia, currently completing your GDLP or in your final year of studying a Bachelor of Law
  • Have a keen interest in Personal Injury law
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding research, writing and communication skills
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A willingness to go above and beyond to exceed expectations
  • A proactive approach and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Have an empathetic approach and ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assisting with drafting documents and correspondence
  • Assisting with the preparation of briefs, copying and scanning
  • Conducting legal research
  • Attending court or client meetings and taking accurate notes
  • Liaising professionally with clients, barristers and expert witnesses
