Mellor Olsson operates from a head office in Adelaide with two further regional offices in Port Lincoln and Clare.
We employ approximately 85 South Australian’s across our range of legal and business support roles. Graduate & Clerkship program

As a full service law firm with regional offices, our clerkship and graduate program offers one of the most diverse platforms for a career in law. Learning from our Senior Management, Partners and Senior Associates, graduates and clerks are continually supported whilst given responsibility and autonomy.
Mellor Olsson is pleased to be a part of the Uniform Clerkship Scheme. This program provides hands on experience by having the opportunity of working on a variety of matters across different areas of law. Clerks gain invaluable knowledge and an understanding of what is like to work in a law firm. Undertaking a clerkship in a full service firm can help determine the area of law in which you may want to work in the future.
Our clerkship program provides the opportunity of working closely and being mentored by senior members of the Mellor Olsson team, who have an excellent reputation in the industry. During the clerkship program, you may perform tasks such as conducting research, attending client meetings, assisting with preparing legal documents and attend court to observe.
This is paid clerkship program and we will have two separate four week clerkship opportunities commencing in November 2021 and January 2022. During the Uniform Clerkship Scheme the clerks will be based primarily in either the Commercial or Litigation team.

Our graduate program suits students in their final year of their law degree or recent graduates. Commencing your legal career in a full service law firm gives successful applicants broad exposure to all aspects of law. Mellor Olsson is one of the largest and most established law firms in South Australia, making our graduate programs an excellent starting point for your career.
Graduates are assigned a mentor and will build commercial acumen along with core legal skills training throughout the program. Mellor Olsson recognises the importance of flexibility and provides flexible part-time options throughout the final year of study if required. Mellor Olsson has a CEO structure, supported by Senior Managers in Finance, People & Culture, Marketing and IT. This team ensures the successful running of the business and reports to the Partnership group.
