Martin Neilson

Martin recently joined Mellor Olsson as an Associate in the Litigation team. He brings a broad range of litigation experience gained at a well-respected South Australian firm specialising in local government and commercial matters, as well as experience in criminal defence and advisory roles at the Legal Services Commission of South Australia.

He represents both applicants and respondents in a wide range of disputes, including matters arising from contract law, construction, property transactions and planning issues.

Martin is known for his client-focused approach, taking the time to understand each client’s commercial and personal objectives so he can best represent their interests. An experienced legal advocate, he frequently appears before the South Australian State Courts, representing clients in hearings, arguments and trials.

Prior to practising law, Martin worked across a number of industries, including telecommunications, banking and construction. This background gives him valuable practical insight into the real-world challenges faced by his clients.
