Mihiri Sumanasekara

Mihiri joined Mellor Olsson in 2025 as a Senior Associate in the Family Law team, bringing with her five years of legal experience gained at a well-established firm in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs.

She has experience across a wide range of practice areas, including family law, wills and estates, civil litigation and corporate law. Her primary focus and true passion is family law.

Mihiri has extensive experience assisting clients with parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, child support, and binding financial agreements. She regularly advises on complex matrimonial and de facto matters, particularly those involving clients from the Australian Defence Force.

Mihiri supports her clients through every stage of the legal process, from negotiation and mediation through to litigated proceedings in the Family and Federal Circuit Courts. She is known for her calm and compassionate approach, and her commitment to achieving practical, client-focused outcomes.
