At Mellor Olsson our employees and clients remain our top priorities as we continually adapt to the evolving global health crisis that is COVID-19.

Whilst there has been, is, and will be business disruption as a result of this pandemic we remain very aware of the significant impact this is having on our everyday lives as people and families.

Like many business we have taken precautions to protect our team from COVID-19. Further to our correspondence last week, we have an ongoing duty of care to our employees at this time and we would like to remind you of the measures that we have implemented to limit the potential risk of spreading this disease and to ask for your assistance when we need to meet.

  • Guidance: We ask that our clients, guests, suppliers and contractors follow the health advice of the Australian Government to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of other Mellor Olsson clients, guests, suppliers and contractors, our employees and the public. If you have been tested or are confirmed to have COVID-19 and have been in contact with any of our team members in the last 14 days, please ensure you notify us so we can take the appropriate steps.

  • Social distancing and meetings: We have further implemented strict social distancing practices by limiting face to face appointments to only essential meetings and adhering to the 4 square metre guidelines. We ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms (or have been in contact with someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19), that you do not attend our offices and instead arrange a meeting using an alternative means which we can offer via telephone or on-line conferencing. Please reach out to your Mellor Olsson contact to arrange alternative measures.

  • Ongoing safety focus: COVID-19 circumstances are changing daily causing significant disruptions to business, however we have our business continuity plans in place and look forward to continuing our services and advice to our clients.

I would like to reassure you that we are well prepared to continue to provide ongoing assistance to our clients in the event that the Government implements further business lockdowns. Our Solicitors are regularly informed through the Law Society regarding restrictions within the Courts, and will be sure to keep you informed if this has any implications on your matter.

Our plan will be reviewed daily in accordance with guidance from authorities.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss any of the above or if we can support or assist you in any way .

Kind regards,

Paul Anderson, CEO, Mellor Olsson
