South Australian law firm, Mellor Olsson, are pleased to announce former Partner, Darren Foeng, has re-joined the firm effective Monday 9 January 2017.

For Darren, who specialises in corporate and commercial law, the decision to return to Mellor Olsson was an important one.

“Having previously worked at Mellor Olsson for five years, when the opportunity arose for me to return it was one that I had to take.

The firm has grown significantly since I left in 2011 and the chance to help lead the firm into the next period of its long history was too good to refuse. I obviously know the Mellor Olsson culture and ethos well and am looking forward to helping ensure the firm’s continued success”, Darren said.

Speaking about Darren’s appointment Managing Partner, Greg Arthur, commented, “A key part of our success and growth in the last five years has been about making sure we have good people on board who will continue to focus on the needs of our clients and provide the quality advice and personalised service that Mellor Olsson have become known for.

Darren’s significant experience with commercial transactions and estate planning are key services for our firm and his appointment further underpins our strengths in these important areas.”

Darren will be based in the Adelaide office and will advise clients on commercial matters such as buying and selling businesses, raising capital, due diligence, private equity transactions, joint ventures, partnerships and shareholder agreements, business restructuring and succession planning, asset protection and franchising, as well as advising on tax issues and wills and estate planning.

Mellor Olsson have undergone a significant growth period recently, having welcomed five legal practitioners to the firm in the past three months. In addition to Darren, the firm has welcomed Senior Associates Kerry Miller (Wills & Estates) and Janine Carroll (Property) and Solicitor Adrienne Lea (Native Title) as well as graduate lawyer, Joel Grieger, who is based in the firm’s Port Lincoln office.
