Michael Stannard

Michael is a Partner in our property team and has over ten years’ experience in commercial property law. His practice focuses on the following areas:

• acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural properties
• commercial, industrial, retail and agricultural leasing
• property development and construction projects
• property due diligence
• general property matters

Michael regularly acts for vendors, purchasers, landlords, tenants, property developers, investment funds and asset managers in a wide range of matters. He works closely with his clients to help achieve their commercial objectives and is valued for his timely, commercial and pragmatic advice.

An active member of the property industry, Michael sits on the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Urban Renewal and Liveability Committee. He previously sat on the Law Society of South Australia’s Property Committee and Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Developer Finance, Tax and Regulation Committee. He also regularly presents seminars to clients, professional services firms and industry groups on a range of topics in property law.

He was recognised as a Rising Star by Doyle's Guide (2023) and Australasian Lawyer (2024).
