Biography

Nick joined Mellor Olsson as a Partner in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in dispute resolution and litigation. Nick’s broad experience in corporate and commercial litigation, including in disputes arising from contracts and property transactions, has established him as a trusted advisor to many. He has acted in disputes in relation to partnerships, professional negligence and consumer law.

Nick has had extensive experience in handling complex disputes in relation to commercial and residential construction projects. Having developed a detailed understanding of the construction industry, Nick not only offers legal expertise but also practical construction project management and contract advice and assists clients to manage regulatory and compliance issues. Aligned with this, over the years Nick has also provided advice to developers and Council clients on matters relating to the Development Act and Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act.

He acts for clients ranging from homeowners and builders to subcontractors, developers, Councils, individuals, and businesses of all sizes. Nick has a commitment to his clients' best interests, even in the face of tough situations. Nick's approach is grounded in clarity and pragmatism. He helps his clients understand risks and devise effective strategies to manage those risks, minimising costs and facilitating the efficient resolution of disputes. With a focus on delivering practical solutions, Nick navigates complex disputes through expert determination, adjudication, or litigation in State and Federal Courts.
