Georgia Hamood-Smith

Georgia joined Mellor Olsson in 2020 in the Adelaide Office as a law clerk where she gained experience across a wide range of areas under the supervision of the firm’s senior Solicitors. She was promoted to a Solicitor upon her admission to practice and is now based in her hometown of Port Lincoln.

Georgia works closely with senior members of her team across wills and estate planning, deceased estates, property and conveyancing as well as commercial and business matters. She has a strong passion and drive to provide high quality services to clients from regional and remote areas. Georgia’s degree in Commerce and International Business provides her with a strong background in the areas of accounting, economics, finance, trade and business management which stand as a great asset alongside her law degree.

Part of Georgia’s law degree was completed in Shanghai where she gained experience working in a large Chinese law firm. Georgia has deep empathy and cultural understanding of people from diverse backgrounds and she can speak, read and write in Mandarin.

Out of the office, Georgia makes the most of the relaxed coastal lifestyle Port Lincoln has to offer. She is a keen scuba diver, enjoys time camping, exploring natural landscapes and spending time with family and friends.
