Biography
Zach joined Mellor Olsson in 2026 as a Solicitor in our employment and workplace relations team shortly after he was admitted to practise.
Prior to joining Mellor Olsson, Zach worked as an Associate to a Deputy President at the Fair Work Commission where he gained invaluable experience across a broad range of employment and industrial disputes. Through his experience at the Fair Work Commission in addition to his strong academic credentials in employment law, Zach is uniquely placed to understand employment issues and generate solutions.
Zach enjoys helping clients reach pragmatic resolutions to their workplace issues. He works closely with the rest of the employment and workplace relations team to achieve results tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Career Highlights
- Achieving First Class Honours with his thesis titled ‘Navigating the High Seas of Work Health and Safety – How Company Directors Can Stay Afloat in the Contemporary Workplace’
- Working as the Associate to a Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission
- While working at the Fair Work Commission, Zach played a key role in applications to vary the Early Childhood Education and Care Multi-Employer Agreement 2024-2026 to add employers and employees. This is now one of the largest enterprise agreements in the private sector
